A NEW beauty salon is to open in Tenbury.
Lianne Lloyd Aesthetics will be moving into the former Blush beauty salon in Market Street. It is the brainchild of Lianne Lloyd, a mum of four who is from the town.
"I’m very excited about bringing a new and fresh treatment menu to Tenbury," she said.
"I’m looking forward to adding to the community and giving other therapists an opportunity to go self-employed like I did.
"I’ve had some excellent reviews and also gained new clients through word of mouth, so this has really encouraged me to open a salon of my own."
Ms Lloyd currently has a salon in Upton upon Severn and will remain work on their on a part-time basis, with the Tenbury site being open six days a week from 9am to 8pm.
"I qualified in acrylic and gel nails in 2019 and worked on a mobile and home basis, added the 34-year-old.
"I have been working extremely hard to gain my qualifications in brow lamination, henna Brows, lash lift, eyelash extensions, waxing, aesthetics, facials and massage since November to expand my treatment menu and offer more variety for my clients.
"I have very recently started working for Hilton as a spa therapist. They are putting me forward for Elemis training. This will enable me to offer my clients luxury services and products alongside my affordable range."
Ms Lloyd added that she will also be looking at hosting children's pamper parties in a dedicated room.
"This will consist of parties for five to seven children to have a mini manicure, pick 'n' mix, mini cocktails, lots of party games and the opportunity to add on glitter tattoos, party bags and cake," she said.
"I think Tenbury needs something like this for the little beauty queens. My daughter is six and loves anything to do with hair and make up, so I’m hoping this will be a profitable area of business too.
"I will be advertising relaxing evening facials and massages too.
"My next venture is to branch out into teaching beauty. I will be enrolling onto a beauty teaching course in the next few months so I can have an academy room to teach students acrylic and gel nails and brow and lash treatments.
"I have had enquiries about this too, so I’m hoping the academy side will be successful."
