WOULD you like to be a newspaper reporter?
We have a rare apprenticeship vacancy at the Hereford Times/Ludlow Advertiser that will allow someone to become professional, trained journalist.
No special qualifications or experience are needed. It is an ideal opportunity for an A-level student seeking training in a rewarding career without the expense entailed in three years at university.
We can't immediately promise you a scene like the one pictured in which a gaggle of reporters ask questions of Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on board a plane on his way to Warsaw during his visit to Poland and Germany last month, but we can give you the training that might one day get you a chance to do things like this.
For now, though, we are looking for someone with a keen interest in local life in Herefordshire and/or south Shropshire.
They must be confident in dealing with people, have a reasonable grasp of written English, and be willing to learn and work hard.
Ideally, they will be users of social media and enjoy sharing news and information across platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
There is more general information about apprenticeships here.
