A LUDLOW man has been up before the magistrates after failing to turn up for unpaid work.
Abubaker Abdulrahman entered a guilty plea to one count of failing to comply with the requirements of a community order when he appeared before magistrates in May.
The court heard from the probation service that Abdulrahman, who was not represented by a defence solicitor at the hearing, had been made subject to a community order by magistrates in Coventry on July 5, 2023.
But, the court was told, the 26-year-old had failed to comply with the order by failing to attend unpaid work appointments on August 3 and September 20.
He had further failed to provide the required evidence to reasonably excuse his absences within the specified time limit, magistrates in Merseyside heard.
Abdulrahman, of Corve Street, Ludlow, was fined £30 for the offence.
No order was made for prosecution costs to be paid as, magistrates said, he has no income and therefore limited means.
