AN ATTACKER has been sentenced for an assault by beating in Ludlow.
Scott Walker, of Green Lane Farm, Burntwood, Staffordshire, entered a guilty plea to one count of assault by beating when he appeared at Telford Magistrates’ Court in March.
The court heard from prosecutor Sara Beddow that the 45-year-old had assaulted a man in Ludlow.
The 45-year-old, who was represented by Paul Jenkins, committed the offence on September 22 last year.
Walker was handed a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay the victim £30 in compensation.
The conditional discharge means he will not be sentenced for the offence at this time unless he were to re-offend within the next six months.
He was also ordered to pay costs to the Crown Prosecution Service of £135 and a £26 victim surcharge.
His guilty plea was taken into account by magistrates when they came to their decision on imposing a penalty.
