A DRUGGED-UP driver who was almost 14 times the legal limit for a substance has been banned from the roads for a year.
Charlotte Taylor, aged 37, was caught behind the wheel of a Toyota in Upper Galdeford, Ludlow, while under the influence.
Tests found she had cocaine as well as benzoylecgonine, the main metabolite of cocaine, in her system.
Taylor had 22 microgrammes (mg) of cocaine per litre of blood, over twice the legal limit. She had 699 mg of benzoylecgonine per litre of blood, almost four times the legal limit of 50 mg.
Taylor, of Mount View, Church Stretton, pleaded guilty at Telford Magistrates’ Court to two counts of driving with a proportion of a controlled drug above the limit.
Magistrates banned her from driving for 12 months. She was also handed a 12-month conditional discharge. Taylor must also pay £135 in court costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
