A SPEEDER has been fined by magistrates after he was caught breaking the limit in Ludlow.

Adrian Colin Swinbourne entered a guilty plea to one count of exceeding a 30 miles per hour speed limit to magistrates in Worcester.

The court heard from the prosecutor that the 56-year-old had been caught breaking the limit while behind the wheel of a Ford vehicle in a 30 miles per hour zone in Ludlow’s Sheet Road on November 5 last year.

He had been clocked speeding by manned camera equipment, the magistrates were told.

Swinbourne, of Crumps Brook, Hopton Wafers, Worcestershire, was fined £146 and received three penalty points, with magistrates saying they had taken his guilty plea into account when coming to their decision on the penalty they would impose.

He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £90 and a £146 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
