A WOMAN who was carrying a knife has appeared in court and been remanded in custody.
Cloe Turner, 27, of Brook Road, Craven Arms, appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court on June 4 where she indicated a guilty plea to possessing a kitchen knife in Craven Arms earlier this month.
Prosecutor David Devine said the woman had the knife in a public place without good reason or lawful authority.
She committed the offence while on bail, so was remanded in custody until her next hearing on July 10.
She was also remanded in custody because of the nature and seriousness of the offence, with the sentencing being adjourned to allow for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
Turner, who was represented in court by defence solicitor Martin Walker, was said to be “likely to re-offend”.
The next hearing will be at Telford Magistrates’ Court for sentencing at 10am on July 10.
