The Ludlow Makers Markets are back for the fourth year running.
Ludlow Chamber of Commerce is pleased to be hosting the markets on all four Tuesdays throughout August.
The plan is to make the most of the busy summer month, when Ludlow is buzzing with visitors on holidays or day trips.
The whole idea is to bring in additional shoppers on a day which is not traditionally a market day.
New this year is Anne’s Art Club, which will be running free family-friendly ‘Makers Sessions’ from 10am in the market square. Anne plans to make a large collage from old Ludlow Guides over the four weeks.
The market square will be full of artists, craftspeople and artisans all selling their wares in person. The chamber will invite musicians to play and there will also be hot food vendors including the Pizza Girls.
Market manager Tish Dockerty said: "There’s a great atmosphere when you get a lot of very talented and able makers in the market square all coming together to make the most of a trading day that’s often a bit quiet for Ludlow.
"The makers will range from ceramicists to artists to jewellery makers. Many of the participants are part of the Made in Shropshire collective. The rules for the makers are that they have to make their own products and cannot resell anything as part of the market. This is a celebration of local talent."
