Two hairdressers from Shropshire are in with the chance to win best stylist in their region, after being shortlisted for the esteemed title.
Ashley and Stephanie Gamble, who own the well-known salon Ashley Gamble Hair in the charming village of Shifnal in Shropshire, have been selected for the Midlands Hairdresser of the Year title at HJ’s 2024 British Hairdressing Awards.
The Gambles, who have recently celebrated ten years of being at the front line of their salon, are “over the moon” at their achievement.
“The standard of entries is always so impressive so it’s a real ‘pinch me’ moment to have made it this far. We love producing collections which show what we’re about as hairstylists, and we hope the judges will recognise the passion and personality behind our work.’” They added.
The prestigious awards, which are judged anonymously by over 100 experienced hairdressers, is the final round of the competition. The final is expected to take place this October, which will see finalists compete for the coveted title, by presenting the best of their work.
This year’s awards will mark the 40th anniversary since it began, with it’s continued focus to honour the best talents from the industry across the UK and show case the very best technical and creative abilities of the contestants.
The awards comprise of ten regional categories, and nine specialist awards. The winners of the sought-after titles will later be announced at a glamorous red-carpet event in London’s Park Lane.
