Caspian Wood Glamping and Wellbeing Haven in Tenbury are seeking planning permission for three glamping pods after they’ve already been constructed.
The applicant runs a glamping site, nature-based craft activities and well-being retreats on their secluded site in the parish of Eastham. Their application to the Malvern Hills District Council for “confirmation that use of three existing glamping structures (Tree House/Lake House/Shepherd Hut) is permitted” was received on April 8 and faced a final consultation on July 23.
"Any comments made now may not be considered" says the council's website, but can still be submitted. The holiday let application has been marked as ‘pending’.
A Certificate of Lawful Existing Use or Development (CLEUD) can be legally granted to Caspian Wood by a local planning authority “to retrospectively legalise a previously unauthorised development,” says Planning House’s website.
“The CLEUD certifies that an existing building/use is lawful, and it will prevent any enforcement action being taken."
Nevertheless, development can become immune if no action is taken between 4-10 years, says Planning House.
