The Tenbury Agricultural Society have said the recent countryside show was a great success, with record amounts of visitors descending on the showground.
The show on August 3 saw spectators and visitors arrive at the showground in Burford, which this year was home to not one, but three national shows. This included, the National Hereford Show, National Ryeland show and the National Young Farmers Tug of War Finals.
There were increased entries in the cattle and sheep sections this year and the Supreme Interbreed Sheep Championship went to Andrew Fletcher of Rock for his Suffolk Ewe.
Competitors and exhibitors flocked from all over the country, greeted by "stunning weather" for the 165th year of the countryside show. The society has said that the long-standing show continues to evolve and grow, and “is a testimony to the endurance and rich heritage of the local farming community within the Teme Valley”.
“It truly was a fabulous day, with something for everyone. The Imps Motorcycle Display Team entertained the crowds.
“The Society would like to thank all trade stands, exhibitors, competitors, judges, stewards and most of all our volunteers and the general public for making the show what it is” they added.
Following a recent Facebook post by the show thanking all spectators and exhibitors for a lovely weekend, the comments were flooded by support from visitors.
Carolyn Wise, recalling the jam-packed weekend, said: “I was part of team Nupend Shires, I was very impressed with your show.
“I didn’t get to see the trade stands but could see that they were very busy.
“Nice to have them set up around the main arena. It was lovely to see the children and ponies in fancy dress.
“Well done everyone involved.”
Joan Bowen, responding to the shows post said: “My husband and I had a brilliant day at your show, we hadn't been for a few years.
“It was so well organised something for all ages, thank you to all concerned, your hard work paid off”.
Craig Edwards said: "Cracking day folks! Well done to all involved with making it what it is!"
