A Ludlow charity is on a mission to find the heroes of the town, and is calling on local volunteers to speak up about their hard work and commitment.

The Hands Together charity in Ludlow has launched the heart-warming campaign in a bid to better understand the work of local volunteers, which will help them “recognize and celebrate the diverse ways people contribute to the community”.

Susie O’Hagan, operations manager for Hands Together Ludlow, said: “‘I am sure that the impact of the activities carried out by volunteers in Ludlow is monumental, but much of it is hidden or goes unnoticed.

“It would be great to have a real understanding of just how much activity relies on volunteers to get things done so we can support volunteering across the town more effectively.

“Our Community Support Network will then be better able to work together to make sure everyone is included, volunteering activity in town is sustainable, that we share best practice and can celebrate all those hidden heroes.

“To be successful we need everyone who volunteers in Ludlow to complete the survey, it’s just 5 very short questions and can be anonymous, but it will give us a huge insight into the workings of the town.”

Residents can complete the survey here or visit the charities offices to speak to a member of the team.
