A LUDLOW care home has new owners after going up for sale.

Agents Christie & Co said established care home Alexandra House in Ludlow is a "highly regarded, well-established residential care home that enjoys a ‘Good’ CQC rating". 

]It is registered for up to 22 elderly residents across 20 bedrooms and comes with planning permission for an additional 12 bedrooms.

After a confidential sales process with James Buist-Brealey at Christie & Co, it has been purchased by My Choice Healthcare and has become the group’s ninth home.

The registered residential care home was opened in 1987 and operated as a family-run residential care home in the town until the sale in July 2024.

It currently provides 24-hour care and support to adults over 65 by fully trained caring staff.

Bethan Evans, chief executive officer at My Choice Healthcare, said: “We were delighted to work with James to acquire Alexandra House, which is My Choice Healthcare’s second care home in the Midlands.

"We are looking to build upon its previous successes; continuing to place residents at the centre of our care and support delivery.”

Alexandra House was sold for an undisclosed price.
