THE history of tea will be on the agenda this month in Tenbury.

Tenbury Wells Museum and History Group offer an annual programme of nine fascinating and interesting talks given in the Pump Rooms, Tenbury Wells.

The talks are held on the first Thursday of every month, excluding January and February.

All are welcome and admission is free to members, with an annual member fee priced at £20 or £5 to non-members, to include light refreshments.

Doors open at 7pm, and talks begin at 7.30pm prompt.

This month's talk will take place at the Pump Rooms on September 5.

Hosted by Paul Harding, the talk will be about the 1773 Boston Tea Party and the etiquette of taking tea.

The infamous Boston Tea Party was an American political and mercantile protest which took place on December 16, 1773, by the Sons of Liberty in Boston, Massachusetts.

They were targeting the Tea Act of that same year, with the protest including destroying an entire shipment of tea by throwing chests into the harbour.
