SACRIFICES during times of war will be remembered in Tenbury at the weekend.
Remembrance Sunday falls on November 10 this year and is an opportunity to remember the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life.
We remember the Armed Forces, and their families, from Britain and the Commonwealth, the vital role played by the emergency services and those that have lost their lives as a result of conflict or terrorism.
Visit the Royal British Legion website for more information on the national service of Remembrance.
In Tenbury Wells, Remembrance Sunday will start at 10.15am with a parade from Tesco to St Mary's Church, where a wreath-laying ceremony will take place at 10.25am, before the church service at 10.50am.
The parade will then return from St Mary's Church to Tesco at 11.50am.
Armistice Day on Monday, November 11, will be marked with a two-minute silence ceremony at 10.55am at the Civic Memorial Garden, followed by refreshments at the Pump Rooms.
