Cleobury Mortimer Second XV 12pts Clee Hill Second XV 6pts
NEAR neighbours Cleobury Mortimer Seconds and Clee Hill Seconds included a few 'elder statesmen' former first teamers in this closely fought local derby.
The match started evenly with both teams enjoying periods of dominanace before Cleobury's scrum-half Nigel Williams dived over with a couple of opposition players hanging on. The conversion attempt went wide.
Clee enjoyed the early part of the second period, despite having to play up the slope, but towards the end they did tire and this allowed Cleobury back into the game for blindside flanker Colin Smith to organise one last push. This eventually saw fly-half James Manley spot a gap in the visitors' defence to dive through for a try which he converted himself.
Clee's contribution in the second period had been two penalties converted by Karl Newman.
