THE Eagle Jazz Band is a late addition to December's events at Ludlow Assembly Rooms.
The Midlands group is giving a concert at 8pm, on December 3, in aid of the Friends of the Rooms.
It takes its name from the Eagle pub in Birmingham, where it first performed in the late 1950s.
One of its founder members, Tony Hobson, is still in the six-man band as an accomplished trombone player and vocalist. The latest recruit is Brian Lawrence, who works miracles on the double bass, tuba and bass guitar.
Tickets for their medley, which ranges from New Orleans to Dixie, Charleston and Rock 'n'roll, are £10 and include light refreshments. You can buy them from the box office on 01584 878141.
