LUDLOW Town have moved quickly to fill the vacant managerial posts following the surprise departure of Jimmy Mullen and his assistant Bernard Mackie. They have opted to give youth a chance by appointing players Steve McCormick and Kevin Welsby as joint-managers.
Both players joined the club this season and are enthusiastic about their appointment, in-spite of the club's current league position. They will both continue to play.
The 36-year-old McCormick, who was born in Scotland moved to the area after marrying a Shrewsbury girl, and played for Bridgnorth last season before teaming up with Mullen at Ludlow this term. As a former professional he is keen to stay involved in the game after his playing days have ended.
Welsby, a goalkeeper currently playing in midfield, is ten years younger, but is anxious to try out some of the techniques he learnt in his spell under Dario Gradi at Crewe Alex-andra.
