n RBL - WOMEN'S SECTION: Chairing the monthly branch meeting, Mrs Joyce Bunce welcomed Mrs Painter.
The secretary dealt with the minutes. Matters arising featured a letter from poppy organiser Mr Richard Fox, from Tenbury RBL.
He thanked everyone for their hard work with poppy selling and added that the total would be up this year.
Members were invited to join RBL members at the December meeting for refreshments in the Royal Oak.
Posters will be out for our Christmas fair in the Regal Community Centre, on Saturday, at 10am.
Last Saturday was the date of the county conference at Worcester County Hall.Pat Bradley attended with the Standard, Mrs Joyce Bunce as chairman of branch and Maisie Daily as delegate. Everyone agreed that the Remembrance Day parade was excellent, and the turnout wonderful. Mrs Bunce thanked Pat, Maisie and Ethany for their smart turnout.
A large box was on display and members donated goodies, to be used in a raffle for a local hospice.
The competition for a home-made snowman, was jointly won by Mrs Bunce and Mrs Gates.
