COMEDIENNE Clare Summerskill makes no bones about her show being uninhibitedly aimed at gay audiences.
She broke off from rehearsals to say the show that is coming to Ludlow Assembly Rooms, on November 26, is "ideally for women, ideally for gays and it is specifically about the gay experience."
Asked what she would like her Ludlow audience to take away from Clare Summerskill's Bootleg Tour, she immediately fired back: "My CDs!"
She continued: "Lots of gay people do not see their lives reflected in all forms of the media.
"All of my characters and situations are about experiences which are shared with this type of audience."
The current phase of her show has just started in Liverpool and is playing in Ludlow before going on to Oxford and Bristol in December.
One of her new sections deals with the problem of finding gay people of similar interests while living in the middle of the countryside.
She has a character called Mary, who loves gardens, who is trying to relate to Monica, who is keen on DIY.
Clare has broken new ground with the first ever pilot for a lesbian and gay sketch show on Radio 4.
She has written two commissioned plays for the Reminiscence Theatre Company plus an award winning musical An Evening with Katie's Gang, which was produced at The Oval House in London.
Her show is in Oscar's, with cabaret seating and it lasts around two hours.
