Burwarton 121 ao
Clee Hill 126-3
SIMON Morris and Brendan Corridon steered Clee Hill to a comfortable seven-wicket win at Burwarton.
Coming together at 55-3 after the side had lost three wickets for 10 runs, they first steadied the innings and then opened their shoulders to add 70 for the fourth wicket.
Morris was the major partner finishing on 41no whilst his colleague was undefeated on 20.
Burwarton started steadily when they batted first.
Left-arm seamer Wayne Whitbread (4-11) changed that when in partnership with Ian Harrington (2-22) he quickly demolished the home team's innings.
T Boyne (21), J Jones (18) and R Groves with a dogged 35 were the major run-scorers. Jason Saunders, Keith Broome and Steve Bowkett each claimed a wicket.
The Clee reply was going well with Shayne Goodman (25) and Mark Harrington posting 45 for the first wicket. They then lost three quick wickets before coasting home.
