Clee Hill 3, Market Drayton 0 a.e.t
ON Saturday the Hill played host to Market Drayton in the 1st round of the Ron Jones Memorial Cup.
The game itself saw Clee Hill dominate from start to finish creating many chances, without being able to find the finishing touches to many good moves. Right at the end of normal time the Hill could have lost the game when an header from close range luckily hit Paul in goal and went wide.
Extra time saw the Hill finally found their scoring boots with Liam Edwards netting twice and Craig Tommey once, but it took a great goal line clearance by Rob Lewis just after the Hill had gone one up to make sure they kept a clean sheet.
This week the Hill are at home again against Hanwood, 3pm._
