The caption to the photograph in last week's On Reflection, in which you say children clear up dry foam after a fire in Lower Mill Street, Ludlow, is incorrect.

I know because I am the third person on the left of the picture.

At dinner time on June 26, 1982, there was a hail storm that lasted half an hour.

The children cleared up the hail stones afterwards and the fire engine came to pump out the water from the cellars. I had more than 2ft of water in my place. The picture was, of course, taken in Lower Broad Street, where I still live. The man with the broom is my nephew Geoffrey Wilson and, standing between us, is his wife Nancy.
