THE seventh annual Lindridge Hopfest on Saturday will be in two parts and promises to be the biggest yet.

There will be 25 local cask ales on offer, plenty of cider, guided tours of a nearby hop kiln and a feast of music.

"We listened to our loyal attendees and realised we appeal to two distinct kinds of visitor, the daytime real ale aficionados and the evening time rock'n'roll revellers," explained one of the organisers, Dave Lancaster.

"Those with serious stamina stay with us too."

The festival will take place at Lindridge Village Hall and Eardiston Country Club in the Teme Valley, along the A443 between Great Witley and Tenbury Wells.

The ales come from a much-loved range of local brewers, including Hobson's, Ma Pardoes, Spinning Dog, Wye Valley and Woods. In a true spirit of co-operation, Nick Davis from Cleobury Mortimer-based Hobson's, has once again volunteered to assemble and deliver the beers at the right temperature.

There will be a coach shuttle for the ever-popular tours of nearby Little Lambswick Hop Kiln to see processing in action.

Three festival regulars will provide the music in the evening.

Renowned for their delivery of R&B, the Sultana Brothers are back again, with support from Kidderminster's four-piece rock band The Murmur and Cleobury's Four Men Called Bob.
