Belbroughton 204-5 Knighton-on-Teme 107-5
KNIGHTON-on-Teme were both out-batted and out-bowled when they brought the curtain down on another Worcestershire County League Division 5 season with a disappointing losing draw at home.
After a couple of early successes, Knighton's bowlers struggled to contain T Huggins (57) and R Hadley (41) on a slow wicket. The pair put on over a hundred and when they were out C Baggs came to the crease to push the score along in the latter stages. He finished undefeated on 38 out of a total of 202-5 whilst Phil Hipkiss (4-46) was the pick of the bowlers with Mark Evans taking the other wicket.
The Knighton reply was always struggling in the face of some accurate bowling. Each time they tried to increase the momentum they lost another wicket.
John Humphries (21), Tim Gasch (21) and Mark Evans (10) were the double figure scorers as the season finished with the home side on 107-5 nearly 100 runs short of their target.
