A YOUNG rider from near Tenbury Wells has just won the junior dressage championship at the National Pony Club Championships following riding for England in the Scottish International in July.
Georgie Bolton, aged 13, from Beech House, Hampton Charles had a score 71.35%. It was the best of both senior and junior competitors.
Georgie has been training long term with Islay Auty, chairman of the British Under-21s dressage team.
More recently Georgie and her pony Rhett have been based and working with Kate Attlee, herself a previous British team rider who is also from Tenbury Wells, and is looking for sponsorship.
Georgie is a member of the Clifton on Teme Pony Club and qualified for the championships along with fellow pony club member, Holly Bradshaw. Holly finished fifth in her arena.
