I WONDER if any of your readers or their relatives can help me in my search for information about my mother and her family.
My mother was Hilda Myra Stead, the daughter of Edwin and Myra Stead, born in 1902.
My mother had one brother, Edgar, and sisters Ida, Beatrice and Mabel.
I believe they lived at Pudleston, where they kept a shop, and later at Leysters where Edwin was a sidesman at Leysters Church.
Myra Stead died, aged 55, in June 1915, the day before my mother's 13th birthday.
Edwin then married a much younger lady and so may well have had a second family.
He died several years later. My parents died in 1989 and are buried in Leysters churchyard next to my grandparents.
There is so much I, and my cousins, would like to know about our parents as children, and we would really appreciate it if anyone could supply us with any information, however small, also about my grandfather's second family.
I have a few photographs, including one, which appeared in the Leominster News of Leysters school in 1906.
Unfortunately, it is very difficult to make out individuals now, although my mother has indicated herself, her brother and two of her sisters.
