Tenbury 109 ao Hanley Castle and Upton 111-9
WHILST on the surface this looks like another batting failure at Penlu, in practice it was a useful total on a difficult track.
When the visitors were reduced to 82-9 Tenbury looked like picking up a morale boosting win in Division 4 of the Crusader Worcestershire County League. The number 11 had other ideas and carved his way to an unbeaten 28 with some lusty blows to lead his side to a one wicket win.
Chris Giles batted really well for 35 but his only real support came from Dave Hunt (15) as the home side were bowled out for 109 in the 35th over.
Andy Adams bowled a lively spell for Tenbury and was rewarded with 7-40 off 14 overs.
