AFTER three successive defeats, Ludlow Town manager, Jimmy Mullen, drafted in experienced Martin McKenzie and Jason Traherne for Tuesday night's home Travel Factory Alliance clash with Cradley Town. And it proved a winner as Town eased to a 3-1 win.
With regular keeper Martin Poole not available, Kevin Wellsby took over the keepers jersey and played a superb game.
Town took the lead midway through the first half when Martin Davies, a sensation since he joined from Bridgnorth Town, ran past three defenders and the keeper to score a superb solo goal.
Cradley equalised just before the interval through a defensive error.
In the second half Town regained the lead through new signing Steve McCormack who has joined the club also from Bridgnorth. And it was the same player who added the third goal.
Afterwards Town manager, Jimmy Mullen, said he was deligh-ted with the team's performance.
