Stourbridge 177 ao Tenbury 78 ao
TENBURY batsmen will be looking to put their new nets to good use before next season. The facility could not be more timely as their batsmen failed to reach three figures for the fifth time in the last six outings.
Facing a winning target of 178 in over 50 overs, they were back in the pavilion in 30, having been bowled out for 78 to lose to the Division 4 leaders in the Crusader Worcestershire County League by 99 runs.
Stourbridge batted well on a difficult wicket to reach 177 all out in the 38th over. Joe Reynolds bowled well to take 6-60 off 19 overs.
In a highly charged atmosphere, following the dad-tempered clash at Penlu earlier in the season, the Tenbury reply never got off the ground. All the batsmen struggled for form on a bowler friendly surface with Andy Adams (14) and Chris Giles (11) the only batsmen to reach double figures.
