Clee Hill 104 ao
Corvedale 55 ao
AFTER struggling with the bat in the first innings, Clee made the most of the bowler friendly conditions to blow away the Corvedale reply and win this Sunday friendly by 49 runs.
After losing an early wicket Mark Harrington and Simon Morris (20) dug-in to put together a match winning partnership and take the score to 44. Harrington (32 no) hung about to see the score past three figures before running out of partners in the 40th over. R Stokes (3-23), T Williams (2-11) and W Williams (2-25) did the majority of the damage with the ball.
Corvedale had little answer to the swinging seaming ball and quickly tumbled to 13-5 and then 24-7 against the attack of Roy Jordan (4-8), Jason Saunders (3-21) and Wayne Whitbread (2-14). Ross Mantle (14) and Craig Massie did offer some resistance but the end came in the 22nd over.
