Stourbridge 2nd 214-8 Tenbury 2nd 158 ao
THE PERFORMANCE of Paul Cleaton was the highlight as Tenbury went down by 56 runs at home to Stourbridge.
He scored a maiden undefeated half-century with the bat after taking 3-34 during his first bowling spell of the season.
Fielding an inexperienced team after their title challenge faltered at Claverley last week, Tenbury put up a useful showing. Everyone had a bowl during the Stourbridge innings. As well as Cleaton, Ade Edwards took 2-34 off 8 overs and Dave Gordon only conceded eight runs during his five over stint to restrict the visitors to 214-8 off their 45 overs.
The Tenbury reply started badly, 12-3 before skipper Steve Giles (44) steadied the ship.
Cleaton scored 58 before running out of partners in the 35th over with the score on 158
