THERE'LL be more to look at than books in Bromyard Library, thanks to the work of a Ludlow artist.
Next April sees the unveiling of a 17m frieze by David Jones, depicting scenes of the area's heritage.
It will span two walls of the town's new library, which is to be officially opened when the town holds a community pageant to mark the occasion.
Mr Jones has lived in the area for over 30 years and has contributed to many art projects in Shropshire and Herefordshire.
He regularly exhibits in Ludlow Assembly Rooms and is due to have a show there next Christmas.
He has also written a book detailing how he creates his pieces in a style he terms as fret cut relief.
It involves layering pieces of wood on to a base sheet of ply wood to create a 3D sculpture.
The pieces are individually sanded and painted before being secured in position.
