ANOTHER series of painting days, for the beginner through to the experienced artist, has been organised at a peaceful retreat near Church Stretton.

The Way of Creativity programme for 2004 begins with a one-day course on Saturday, January 31, entitled Opening The Door.

Tutor Lin Brown promises the day will offer an inspiring combination of quietness and creativity, especially helpful for those who may be a little hesitant about their first foray into painting.

Lin, a professional artist and relaxation trainer said: "I encourage people to experiment with and explore the large range of materials that are provided," she said.

" Ideas arise quite simply and often unexpectedly. Insight often appears to happen by itself and freedom and confidence begin to grow."

There are four one-day courses at Stapleton Village Hall this year plus four weekend courses. Each day costs £45 and each weekend £85 but there are reductions for block bookings.

Course numbers are limited and early booking is recommended.
