Ludlow Town dominated the game and should have been three goals to the good in the first 15 minutes of this home Midland Alliance game last Tuesday.
Early pressure saw Darren Leonard put Tim Jackson clear to cross for the mauauding Humphries and Rob Bruce but the wind cruelly took the ball away from both players.
Captain Steve Moore then turned provider to play an exquisite ball over the top for Joe Williams to latch on to but the 'keeper was able to save from an acute angle.
From a corner on the half hour Joe Williams opened the scoring by forcing the ball home from a knock down by Humphries.
The Barwell keeper excelled again on 40 minutes when he made a brilliant low save to deny Williwms following a Jackson free kick.
On 42 minutes a long ball upfield was collected by Rob Bruce who covered a lot of ground before power driving a manificent goal.
After the break Rob Bruce and Chris Busby both had bad misses before Barwell have a break which they failed to convert as the ball whislted across the six-yard box.
In the swirling wind the visitors' frustration turned nasty and they resorted to some indiscipline, a fact which resulted in seven of the team getting booked.
Ludlow went further ahead on 70 minutes when, following a foul on Rob Bruce, Tim Jackson blasted the free kick high up into the top left had corner of the net to give the home team a comfortable three-goal cushion.
Although they failed to scored any further goals, Ludlow were unlucky when David Andrewartha made a great break following a Rob Bruce through ball. Only a deflection prevented his forceful shot from bringing a fourth goal.
