THIS Kidderminster League Division 1 clash was marred by several unsavoury incidents early in the second half which saw Tenbury's Aaron Morris red-carded and their goalkeeper Shaun Baldwin carried off.

Up to that point it had been a very evenly contested game with Tenbury, boosted by a couple of first team members following the postponement of their game against Reality Sports, giving the title-chasing visitors a good run for their money.

Quarry Bank struck first taking advantage of a mistake by defender Paul Higgins who was robbed as he tried to clear, the visiting striker rounding keeper Baldwin for the opening goal.

Within five minutes Tenbury were disappointed when Pete Stevens was bundled over in the box, the referee ignoring appeals for what most people considered a certain penalty.

However Tenbury persisted and their pressure was rewarded when Simon Leetham converted a spot kick awarded when Steven's left-wing corner was handled in the box.

With all to play for the game turned sour soon after the restart, the referee seemingly unable to control the over-vigorous challenges and frequent off-the-ball incidents.

Tenbury found themselves a man short when Morris was yellow-carded after a fifty-fifty challenge, the referee changing this to a red when he questioned the decision, and they were further hampered minutes later when Baldwin was carried off after a very hard challenge.

This knocked the stuffing out of Tenbury and Quarry Bank took advantage to fire in three goals in the final 25 minutes.
