Woofferton 4 Wellington 3
WOOFFERTON dented the title hopes of their Hereford Times Herefordshire League Premier Division second placed visitors when they completed a league double.
With leaders Ewyas Harold on cup duty Wellington needed to win to take over at the top. But bogey side Woofferton, who won 2-1 earlier in the year at Wellington, managed to repeat their success, all their goals coming from set pieces.
Woofferton took the lead with a header from Alan Hogg, only for Mark Hole to level for Wellington from the penalty spot.
A second goal for Wooff-erton from Simon Lane just before the break, and further goals from Jamie Marsh and Justin Wheatley, effectively won the game for the home side, the visitors fighting back with a second penalty from Hole and a late goal from Keith Jones.
