l THE end of last term saw Church Stretton School pupils say farewell to Mrs Jean Brayford, who has been a teacher of RE and Humanities, and occasionally English, at the school for nearly 20 years. She also taught for a brief spell at Mary Webb and Bishop's Castle before taking up a position at Church Stretton in 1984.
Mrs Brayford said that she had thoroughly enjoyed teaching and would miss it all, although she would, mostly, miss the young people themselves. "It has certainly been a privilege teaching them," she said."There's nothing like a teenager for keeping you on your toes and up to date with the world."
