GARDENING CLUB: The club ended its year on a very pleasant note with a well-attended social evening and AGM.
The AGM took just enough time to hear reports and re-elect the committee in toto. Afterward we learned about the fascinating world of bee keeping and honey production from Richard Murgatroyd.
As usual, the refreshments provided by members were scrumptious.
Our thanks are due to them for their contributions on such occasions throughout the year.
As a result of our activities at the annual show, a substantial cheque has been donated to the Air Ambulance.
A further success was achieved in November when our quiz team of Anne Hingley, Mary Holloway and Cedric Protheroe, won the Shield for Gardening Clubs from the Wyre Forest District.
The 2004 programme begins with a talk by John Robinson on The Natural History of the Wyre Forest, on Wednesday, January 28, at 7.30 for 8pm, in Victory Hall, Clows Top.
