Ludlow Town 3 Causeway 1
LUDLOW Town continued their climb of the Midland Alliance League when they produced an electrifying first-half assault on Causeway who have beaten most of the top sides this season.
After good work by Joe Williams, Darryl Smith, Rob Bruce and Tim Jackson, ex-Causeway player Chris Busby netted with a low drive. The Town then went close to scoring through Andy Jones, Busby, Smith, Jackson and Rob Bruce and were rewarded when Jackson displayed great ball control to net. On the half hour, Bruce blasted at goal for keeper Mark Whitehouse to get a hand to but captain Andy Jones tanked in to land the third goal cushion.
Whitehoue managed excellent saves from combined and solo performances from the Town players who were were forced to defend stubbornly during the second half.
