SHROPSHIRE-based Arts Alive enjoyed a week of sell-out performances prior to Christmas - showing that arts are very much alive in the county.
Now the snazzy new combination Arts Alive/Flicks in the Sticks brochure is out, covering the period January to April and revealing the usual range of exciting events in unlikely places.
Family theatre for the New Year starts with Richard Derrington's My Kingdom for a Horse at Pudleston Village Hall, near Leominster, and continues with Cartoon de Salvo's Meat and Two Veg in Eardisley and Moccas. Featuring a live skiffle band, and inspired by the love stories of Twelfth Night and the birth of rock 'n' roll in post-war Britain, this has to be worth a look.
Dance is represented by the Jiving Lindy Hoppers and Blue Eyed Soul with music from Rhythm Attack, Mugen Taiko Dojo and Artisan.
But there's lots more to choose from, and much of it not far from your home or costing the earth.
