Brown Clee 3 Wem 1
BROWN Clee got there Shropshire League Division 1 title chase back on track when they came from behind to beat Wem and move up to third spot in the table.
Clee started brightly but the visitors caught them on the break to force a corner, the resulting deep cross being headed home at the far post.
Undaunted they kept playing slick, high tempo football and levelled after 25 minutes when striker Tom Yeomans forced the ball home in a scramble following a corner.
After the break Clee player/manager Phil Brick started to control the mid-field and prompted a move which saw striker Craig James pick up the ball just outside the box to move forward and hit the target with a low drive to nose Clee ahead.
Wem hardly got a look-in as Clee dominated possession, but although creating lots of chances failed to finish.
The sustained pressure paid off and the hosts finally put the result beyond doubt when Wem could only half-clear, the ball dropping for Trevor Breakwell to net with a fierce volley.
