Claverley 0 Ludlow Rovers 11
ROVERS cruised into the final of the Ironbridge Sunday League Cup with a comprehensive thrashing of a hapless Claverley team.
They dominated from the off and soon moved into an unassailable 6-0 lead at the break. Guy Gardiner led with a brace and he was backed up with goals from Alan Middle-ton, Shaun Nicholas, Terry Powis and Darren Pardoe.
It could have been more if Horace Bodenham had converted a penalty after Sean Didlick was upended in the box.
The second half was a formality with Rover's goalkeeper Ray Cooper a mere spectator as his team plundered another five goals without reply.
Ric Flair, Paul Friswell, Martyn Jarman, Roy Bodenham and Malcolm Marsh added the goals with Marsh's 30-yard thunderbolt the pick of the bunch.
