I CALLED into Tenbury on November 13 with friends to have a coffee on the way home from Shrewsbury, and while having a walk-around we came across a Christmas tree(?) outside Bowketts.
Well we couldn't stop laughing, what a pathetic tree!
I know lots of councils are cutting back on costs, but to cut back on a Christmas tree is crazy.
You only have to buy one once a year for goodness sake. Or is it so pathetic because a member of your council is a conservationist and has donated half the branches to a local church for the nativity scheme?
I think you would have been better to ask a local tree surgeon if he was cutting any leylandi down and put that up instead!
Perhaps next year you could ask the local businesses to donate toward a PROPER Christmas tree.
