KIDETOK is a village in the Soroti district of Uganda. Since the time of Idi Amin the area has suffered both from famine and political unrest.
In 1980 the Kent based Kidetok Fund was set up to help a church mission develop a desperately needed clinic in the village. Since then funds have been raised to finance Landrover ambulances, new wards, vital medical equipment and medicines and projects such a fresh water supply schemes.
Since 1995 I have been appealing for donations of used stamps, old postcards, used phone cards and obsolete coins etc, which are sold to raise funds for Kidetok. Thanks to the generosity of individual donors I have been able to send well over £3,600 to the fund since then.
Please send your donations to: Jeff Taylor - Uganda, 12 Head Street, Rowhedge, Colchester, Essex.
