LUCTONIANS reinforced their Midlands One title credentials with a victory over promotion rivals. They are level with their opponents on points.
Luctonians fought back after conceding a converted try in the opening minutes, with Jeremy Wheadon kicking three penalties to put them 9-7 up. Gareth Miles put them 14-7 ahead when he touched down after a lineout.
Mark Panniers repeated the score after the interval before Bedford reduced the deficit with a try. John Goodwin responded immediately with a third try for the home team and Wheadon added the extra points. Bedford added a fine try but it was only a consolation score.
