HEREFORD-based Sun Valley has announced its involvement in an exciting new initiative to help with the development of rugby in schools, which will encompass the Welsh Marches area.
They will join forces with Tyrr-ells Potato Chips and Bengrys Motors to forge a partnership with Luctonians and the Government initiative, Sports-match to introduce where necessary, and then develop rugby in a range of schools.
Those in the local area and pencilled in to be targeted include Ludlow Comprehensive, Ten-bury High, Lacon Childe (Cleo-bury), and Wigmore High as well as the feeder primary schools.
The three year project will be open to both boys and girls and the launch is timed to take the maximum benefit from the publicity gained by England's win in Australia. The idea is that qualified coaches will take the sport to schools. Across the area around 700 pupils will receive coaching each week.
