THOUSANDS of Peg Dollies will line up on tables in the gallery of Ludlow Assembly Rooms, from Monday until January 5.
In what sounds like a Shropshire version of the Chinese emperor's terracotta army, each figure is a clothes peg draped in a costume with a head on top.
Artist Sylvia Earthy and volunteer Marian Evans worked for nearly a year running workshops on turning mundane pegs into lively self-portraits.
As a bonus, on December 8, from 6.30 to 8.30pm, there will be a chance to add your own miniature you to the growing community.
