FRESH from its recent success with Noel Coward's Blithe Spirit, Clun Amateur Dramatic Society is preparing for new challenges.

On November 21 it takes two one-act plays by William Trevor, Marriages and A Night with Mrs da Tanka, to the Shropshire Drama Festival at Wellington. The following day it will play the same programme at St George's Church Hall.

The show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets at the door cost £4 and include a programme, refreshments plus a great night of drama. The Hall contains new seating, so comfort is also assured.

CADS' monthly play reading will be on November 22. It will either be an adaptation of Graham Greene's The End of the Affair or the John Fowles chiller The Collector. The reading will be at Haslehurst, starting at 7.30pm.

David Oakley, secretary of CADS, hopes it will be a chance to spot new names.

"We exist to give everyone the chance to take part in drama, whatever their talent may be," he says. "If you feel you would like to join us then come along to the play reading or phone me on 01547 530677."
