(Woofferton win 4-3 after penalty shoot-out)
ORLETON missed out on a place in the second round of the HFA Jock Handley Cup when their visiting neighbours levelled in the closing minutes of normal time and then went through in a penalty shoot-out after neither team could score in extra-time.
Woofferton had most of the early play and created several chances, but poor finishing and gritty Orleton defence stopped them taking the lead.
Orleton gradually found some rhythm and mid-way through the half opened up the Woofferton defence with a slick passing move between Rob Gissop and Ben Apperley for Gissop to calmly lob the visiting goalkeeper, his third goal in seven starts.
There was no change in the scoreline as the competitive local derby moved towards the final whistle, but a lapse in the home defence saw Woofferton grab an equaliser to take the tie into extra-time.
